Tylecodon wallichii SH56 | Pegleg Butterbush

Tylecodon wallichii, commonly known as Pegleg Butterbush, is a distinctive succulent shrublet characterized by its thick, knobby, tuberculate stems and long, slender, gray-green leaves that cluster at the tips of its branches. This plant can grow up to 32 inches tall, with the main stem reaching up to 2.4 inches in diameter.  Thriving in full sun and requiring minimal water, Tylecodon wallichii is summer-deciduous, shedding its leaves during the hot, dry months to conserve moisture. In early summer, it produces clusters of nodding, yellowish-green flowers on long peduncles, adding a splash of color to its unique form. This species is well-suited for USDA Hardiness Zones 9b through 11.You will receive the exact plant pictured, it is a fully rooted plant. All of our plants are shipped bare-root and without their original nursery pot.  This is done both to protect the plant and to reduce shipping expenses. Upon receiving your plants, make sure to remove them from their packaging immediately, repot them using dry soil, and provide ample sunlight.  Water as needed, making sure to water again only when the soil is completely dry. Succulents are very hardy and will rebound easily with proper care.
