Thelocactus hexaedrophorus is a compact, globe-shaped cactus with a blue-gray to gray-green body, adorned with large, rounded tubercles and multicolored spines ranging from red to white. Typically, it grows to about 3 to 4 inches in height and approximately 6 inches in diameter. This resilient species thrives in full sun with well-draining soil and requires infrequent watering, making it highly drought-tolerant. During the summer months, it produces large, attractive flowers that can be white, cream, or pale pink with a yellow throat, adding a striking visual appeal. Thelocactus hexaedrophorus is suitable for USDA Hardiness Zones 9 through 11.
