The Tephrocactus geometricus is a rare and highly collectible cactus prized for its unique, almost perfectly round, blue-green segments that stack like geometric beads to form a striking sculptural shape. This slow-growing species typically reaches up to 6 inches tall and 3 inches wide, with each individual segment about the size of a golf ball. It thrives in full sun, requires very little water, and should be planted in well-draining, gritty soil to prevent rot. In late spring to early summer, it may produce beautiful pale pink to white flowers, though blooming is less common in younger plants. Ideal for cactus collectors and lovers of unusual, architectural plants, it does best with infrequent watering and plenty of airflow. Protect from frost and keep dry during winter dormancy. Best suited for USDA Hardiness Zones 9–11.
