Stenocereus beneckei is a hardy, shrub-like cactus, native to Central Mexico. Stunning with their gray-green coloration and sharp brown spines, these cacti stand out in a collection. The silver surface of this plant is a dense layer of waxy crystals called farina. It acts as a water repeller and sun reflector. A natural cleanser, the farina keeps dirt, pests, and pathogens from breaking the surface, so when rainwater strikes the plant, the unwanted debris easily binds with the droplets and falls from the cactus. Full sun, well-draining soil, not cold hardy.

Please note that the plant may or may not be in bloom when purchased. You will receive the exact plant pictured. This is a fully rooted plant. Shipping will be via USPS Priority Mail within the United States and its outlying territories ONLY. We do not ship internationally due to agricultural regulations.

All of our plants are shipped bare-root and without their original nursery pot. This is done both to protect the plant and to reduce shipping expenses. We pack our products by hand and take great care to ensure they arrive at their final destination safely. Upon receiving your plants, make sure to remove them from their packaging immediately, re-pot them using dry soil, and provide ample sunlight. Water as needed, making sure to water again only when the soil is completely dry. Succulents are very hardy and will rebound easily with proper care.
