Senecio rowleyanus “String of Pearls” is a trailing succulent with bead-like, pea-shaped leaves strung along thin stems in cascading drape. It can trail 2 to 3 feet or more in length, making it ideal for hanging baskets or as a cascading accent. It prefers bright light (a few hours of full sun or strong indirect light), warm temperatures, and very well-draining soil. Water sparingly—allow the soil to dry out fully between waterings to prevent root rot. In cooler months, reduce watering and avoid frost exposure. It’s hardy in USDA Zones 9–12.
You will receive a plant similar to the one pictured, it is a fully rooted plant. Shipping will be via USPS Priority Mail within the United States and its outlying territories ONLY. We do not ship internationally.
All of our plants are shipped bare-root and without their original nursery pot. This is done both to protect the plant and to reduce shipping expenses. We pack our products by hand and take great care to ensure they arrive at their final destination safely. Upon receiving your plants, make sure to remove them from their packaging immediately, repot them using dry soil, and provide ample sunlight. Water as needed, making sure to water again only when the soil is completely dry. Succulents are very hardy and will rebound easily with proper care.
