Pygmy Date Palm - Phoenix roebelenii - 3 Gallon (GN)

Phoenix roebelenii, commonly called the Pygmy Date Palm or Robellini Palm, is a graceful, dwarf evergreen palm with a slender gray-brown trunk topped by a dense crown of fine-textured, arching pinnate fronds reaching up to 3 ft (90 cm) long. Slowly growing, it typically matures between 6–10 ft (1.8–3 m) tall and spreads about 6–8 ft (1.8–2.4 m) when grown outdoors, smaller indoors. This palm thrives in full sun to partial shade, ideally enjoying morning sun or filtered light, while sheltered from harsh afternoon rays in hot climates. It prefers moist, well‑draining soil—water regularly so the soil stays slightly moist during the growing season but never soggy; reduce watering in winter. Hardy to around 26 °F (−3 °C), it's best suited for USDA zones 9–11, and appreciates moderate humidity and occasional misting in hot, dry climates. This elegant palm is low-maintenance, pest-resistant, and ideal as a container specimen, tropical patio feature, or compact garden focal point.

All of our plants are shipped bare-root and without their original nursery pot. This is done both to protect the plant and to reduce shipping expenses. We pack our products by hand and take great care to ensure they arrive at their final destination safely. Upon receiving your plants, make sure to remove them from their packaging immediately, repot them using dry soil, and provide ample sunlight. Water as needed, making sure to water again only when the soil is completely dry.
