The Parodia haselbergii ssp. graessneri, also known as the Scarlet Ball Cactus, is a small, round cactus with dense clusters of golden spines and a neat, spherical shape that makes it highly ornamental. This species typically grows up to 6 inches tall and 5 inches wide, forming a charming globe that looks stunning on its own or in a collection of cacti and succulents. It thrives in full sun to partial shade and requires minimal water, preferring dry conditions with excellent drainage. During the spring and summer months, it produces brilliant scarlet-red flowers that create a striking contrast against its golden spines, often blooming in clusters near the crown. Its compact size and showy flowers make it an excellent choice for containers, windowsills, or rock gardens. Smaller items may or may not be shipped within their nursery pots. We pack our products by hand and take great care to ensure they arrive at their final destination safely. Upon receiving your plants, make sure to remove them from their packaging immediately, repot them using dry soil, and provide ample sunlight.  Water as needed, making sure to water again only when the soil is completely dry. Succulents are very hardy and will rebound easily with proper care.
