Opuntia erinacea 'Snow Bear' 6in

The Opuntia erinacea ‘Snow Bear’, also called the Snow Bear Prickly Pear, is a rare and highly ornamental cactus known for its rounded pads covered in dense clusters of soft white glochids that give it a frosty, snow-dusted appearance. This compact variety typically grows 2–3 feet tall and 3–4 feet wide, forming an attractive clumping habit perfect for rock gardens, xeriscapes, or containers. It thrives in full sun and requires very low water once established, making it an excellent choice for drought-tolerant landscapes. In late spring to early summer, it produces brilliant yellow blooms with orange centers, adding seasonal color and charm. Its unique snowy look provides year-round visual interest while also offering excellent cold hardiness compared to many other Opuntias. With its easy care and striking appearance, this variety is a true collector’s gem for cactus enthusiasts. USDA Hardiness Zones 4–9.

Smaller items may or may not be shipped within their nursery pots. We pack our products by hand and take great care to ensure they arrive at their final destination safely. Upon receiving your plants, make sure to remove them from their packaging immediately, repot them using dry soil, and provide ample sunlight.  Water as needed, making sure to water again only when the soil is completely dry. Succulents are very hardy and will rebound easily with proper care.
