Myrtillocactus geometrizans - Blue Myrtle Cactus SH42

Myrtillocactus geometrizans, also known as Blue Myrtle Cactus or Blue Candle, is a striking columnar cactus native to central and northern Mexico. It features sculptural, candelabra-like branching with smooth blue-green stems that develop 5 to 6 ribs, each lined with small areoles and short spines. In ideal conditions, this fast-growing cactus can reach up to 15 feet tall, making it a dramatic focal point in xeriscapes or large containers . During spring and summer, it produces small, creamy-white flowers that give way to edible, dark purple, blueberry-like fruits . Thriving in full sun to partial shade, it prefers well-draining soil and requires minimal watering—allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings to prevent root rot . Hardy in USDA Zones 9b to 11, it tolerates temperatures down to 25°F (–3.9°C) when kept dry . All of our plants are shipped bare-root and without their original nursery pot.  This is done both to protect the plant and to reduce shipping expenses. We pack our products by hand and take great care to ensure they arrive at their final destination safely. Upon receiving your plants, make sure to remove them from their packaging immediately, repot them using dry soil, and provide ample sunlight.  Water as needed, making sure to water again only when the soil is completely dry. Succulents are very hardy and will rebound easily with proper care.
