The Lavandula x allardii 'Meerlo', also known as Meerlo Lavender, is a stunning evergreen shrub prized for its silvery-green foliage edged with creamy-yellow variegation and its refreshing, fragrant scent. This unique lavender hybrid can reach 3–4 feet tall and 4–5 feet wide, forming a dense, bushy mound that brings year-round beauty to the garden. It thrives in full sun with low water needs, making it perfect for drought-tolerant landscapes, rock gardens, and borders. While 'Meerlo' is primarily grown for its foliage, it can produce small lavender-blue flower spikes in summer, adding even more charm and fragrance. Highly resistant to heat, wind, and salt, it is an excellent choice for coastal gardens as well as inland dry climates. Easy to grow and low-maintenance, this lavender also works beautifully in containers or as a fragrant hedge. USDA Hardiness Zones 9–11.
