A striking upright succulent tree, the Madagascar Ocotillo features thick grayish-white stems adorned with small paired oval leaves and prominent spines that give it a sculptural form. When mature outdoors it can reach 25 – 40 feet tall and 4 – 6 feet wide, though in a container it remains compact and architectural. This drought-adapted plant thrives in full sun, loves fast-draining desert-style soil, and prefers very little water once established—allowing the soil to dry completely between deep irrigations. Rare greenish-yellow flowers may appear on mature specimens in late spring to mid-summer. Ideal for tropical and arid gardens or as a dramatic potted specimen, it is hardy to USDA Zones 9 B – 11.

You will receive the exact plant pictured, it is a fully rooted plant. Shipping will be via USPS Priority Mail within the United States and its outlying territories ONLY.  We do not ship internationally.
