Leucospermum 'Veldfire' 5g

The Leucospermum ‘Veldfire’, also known as the Pincushion Protea, is a stunning evergreen shrub with leathery green leaves that are tipped with fiery red margins, giving it year-round visual appeal. At maturity, it can reach 4–6 feet tall and 6–8 feet wide, creating a bold focal point in any garden or landscape. This South African native thrives in full sun with well-draining, slightly acidic soil, and it requires low to moderate water once established. Blooming in spring through early summer, it produces large, vibrant orange-red pincushion flowers that are highly attractive to bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds. Its long-lasting blooms also make it an exceptional choice for cut flower arrangements. All of our plants are shipped bare-root and without their original nursery pot. This is done both to protect the plant and to reduce shipping expenses. We pack our products by hand and take great care to ensure they arrive at their final destination safely. Upon receiving your plants, make sure to remove them from their packaging immediately, repot them using dry soil, and provide ample sunlight. Water as needed, making sure to water again only when the soil is completely dry.
