Leuchtenbergia principis S2 | Agave Cactus

Leuchtenbergia principis, commonly known as the Agave Cactus, is a unique and highly sought-after cactus featuring long, triangular, bluish-green tubercles that resemble the leaves of an agave plant, topped with papery spines for added texture and visual appeal. This slow-growing specimen develops a solitary stem that can reach up to 28 inches tall and 14 inches wide at maturity, making it an excellent choice for cactus collections, rock gardens, and container displays. It thrives in full sun to bright direct light and prefers well-draining soil with low water requirements, making it ideal for drought-tolerant landscapes and xeriscaping. Mature plants produce large, fragrant yellow flowers, often appearing from late spring through summer, adding seasonal color and interest. All of our plants are shipped bare-root and without their original nursery pot.  This is done both to protect the plant and to reduce shipping expenses. We pack our products by hand and take great care to ensure they arrive at their final destination safely. Upon receiving your plants, make sure to remove them from their packaging immediately, repot them using dry soil, and provide ample sunlight.  Water as needed, making sure to water again only when the soil is completely dry. Succulents are very hardy and will rebound easily with proper care.
