Leucadendron 'Summer Red' - 5 Gallon (GN)

Leucadendron salignum ‘Summer Red’ is a vibrant evergreen shrub featuring upright red-tinged stems adorned with narrow green leaves that turn richly red in spring and summer, topped by creamy‑reddish‑purple cone bracts for bold seasonal contrast. This moderately compact variety typically grows to about 3–4 ft (90–120 cm) tall and spreads 4–6 ft (120–180 cm) wide, forming a graceful, open mound that's ideal for borders, screens, or containers. Native to South Africa, it thrives in full sun or light shade, prefers acidic, sandy, well‑drained soil, and is drought-tolerant once established, needing only occasional deep watering. All of our plants are shipped bare-root and without their original nursery pot. This is done both to protect the plant and to reduce shipping expenses. We pack our products by hand and take great care to ensure they arrive at their final destination safely. Upon receiving your plants, make sure to remove them from their packaging immediately, repot them using dry soil, and provide ample sunlight. Water as needed, making sure to water again only when the soil is completely dry.
