Leucadendron salignum ‘Blush’ - 5 Gallon (GN)

Leucadendron salignum ‘Blush’ (Blush Conebush) is an elegant evergreen shrub featuring upright stems and compact, bushy foliage with slender oval leaves that emerge green and take on burgundy-red tones in new growth and blush purple hues in winter. This refined cultivar matures to approximately 3‑4 ft tall and 4‑6 ft wide, forming a well-balanced mass ideal for borders, containers, or cut‑flower hedges In winter through spring it presents richly colored burgundy-red cone bracts surrounding light green female cones—long-lasting and prized in floral arrangements. ‘Blush’ thrives in full sun, prefers well-drained, sandy or acidic soil, and once established requires low to moderate water, being drought-tolerant and frost-hardy down to about 25 °F (−4 °C). Native to South Africa, this cultivar is low-maintenance, deer-resistant, and well-suited to xeriscape gardens or coastal landscapes.

All of our plants are shipped bare-root and without their original nursery pot. This is done both to protect the plant and to reduce shipping expenses. We pack our products by hand and take great care to ensure they arrive at their final destination safely. Upon receiving your plants, make sure to remove them from their packaging immediately, repot them using dry soil, and provide ample sunlight. Water as needed, making sure to water again only when the soil is completely dry.
