Hesperaloe parviflora ‘Desert Dusk’ is a compact and sculptural evergreen perennial forming clumps of narrow, arching gray‑green leaves that often turn burgundy in fall, edged with fine fibers for added texture. This cultivar maintains a tidy footprint of about 2–3 ft (60–90 cm) tall and wide, making it ideal for containers or garden beds. In spring to early summer, it sends upright spikes of striking burgundy, bell‑shaped flowers with golden centers that rise above the foliage and attract hummingbirds. ‘Desert Dusk’ thrives in full sun to part shade, in well‑drained sandy or loamy soil, and once established, requires very low watering, excelling in heat and drought conditions. Hardy from USDA zones 5a–9b, it tolerates light frost and is low-maintenance, deer-resistant, and perfect for xeriscapes, pollinator gardens, or striking container accents.

Please note that the plant may or may not be in bloom when purchased. You will receive a similar or better plant as the one pictured. These are fully rooted plants. Shipping will be via USPS Priority Mail within the United States and its outlying territories ONLY. We do not ship internationally.

All of our plants are shipped bare-root and without their original nursery pot. This is done both to protect the plant and to reduce shipping expenses. We pack our products by hand and take great care to ensure they arrive at their final destination safely. Upon receiving your plants, make sure to remove them from their packaging immediately, repot them using dry soil, and provide ample sunlight. Water as needed, making sure to water again only when the soil is completely dry.
