Harrisia jusbertii, also known as the Queen of the Night or Red Dragon Apple Cactus, is a captivating columnar cactus admired for its nocturnal, fragrant white flowers and edible red fruits with tangy white flesh. This fast-growing cactus can reach heights of up to 20 feet and widths of about 12 inches, often requiring support as it matures . Thriving in full sun with 6–8 hours of daily light, it prefers well-draining soil and minimal watering—allowing the soil to dry completely between waterings . Hardy in USDA Zones 9a to 11, it tolerates temperatures down to 24°F (–4°C) when kept dry . Ideal for xeriscaping or as a striking container specimen, its dramatic blooms and low-maintenance nature make it a standout addition to any cactus collection.

You will receive the exact plant pictured, it is a fully rooted plant. Shipping will be via USPS Priority Mail within the United States and its outlying territories ONLY.  We do not ship internationally.

All of our plants are shipped bare-root and without their original nursery pot.  This is done both to protect the plant and to reduce shipping expenses. We pack our products by hand and take great care to ensure they arrive at their final destination safely. Upon receiving your plants, make sure to remove them from their packaging immediately, repot them using dry soil, and provide ample sunlight.  Water as needed, making sure to water again only when the soil is completely dry. Succulents are very hardy and will rebound easily with proper care.
