The Furcraea parmentieri, also known as the Mexican Tree Lily, is a striking succulent with large, sword-shaped green leaves that form a dramatic rosette atop a thick trunk-like stem, giving it a bold architectural look. Over time, this plant can grow into an impressive tree-like specimen reaching 15–20 feet tall and 6–8 feet wide, making it a standout focal point in any landscape. It thrives in full sun with minimal water needs, making it well-suited for xeriscaping, dry gardens, and low-maintenance landscapes. Mature plants produce a massive bloom stalk up to 30 feet tall, covered in clusters of white to cream-colored flowers that are both spectacular and rare. Like many agaves, it is monocarpic, flowering once at maturity before producing offsets that continue its growth cycle. With its dramatic size, drought tolerance, and unique beauty, Furcraea parmentieri is an excellent choice for adding bold texture to warm-climate gardens. USDA Hardiness Zones 8–11.
