The Euphorbia loricata is a unique, spiny succulent known for its upright, armored green stems that give it a bold and sculptural appearance. Its rigid, segmented stems are covered with small spines and occasional narrow leaves near the tips, creating a striking display whether grown indoors or outdoors. This slow-growing species can reach up to 3 feet tall and about 2 feet wide, forming a compact clump over time. It thrives in full sun to bright light and prefers well-draining, sandy soil, making it ideal for rock gardens or container displays. Like most succulents, it requires very little water, allowing the soil to dry fully between waterings. In spring, it may produce tiny yellow-green flowers that emerge at the stem tips, adding subtle charm to its rugged form. Both architectural and low-maintenance, Euphorbia loricata brings a desert-inspired look to any plant collection. USDA Hardiness Zones 9–11.
