Echinocactus polycephalus - Cotton Top Cactus

This was recently repotted from a 2-inch pot to a 4-inch pot. Very difficult to find and rarely offered; a cactus you'll want to add to your collection.

Echinocactus polycephalus is a captivating barrel cactus that forms clusters of spiny globes topped with a distinctive tuft of woolly white hairs and red-tinged spines. It typically grows 1 to 2 feet tall and 2 to 4 feet wide in clumping formations. Thriving in full sun and gritty, well-drained soil, this low-water, low-maintenance plant blooms with yellow flowers in summer and is suited to USDA Zones 8b–11a.

You will receive a plant similar to the one pictured, it is a fully rooted plant. Shipping will be via USPS Priority Mail within the United States and its outlying territories ONLY.  We do not ship internationally.

All of our plants are shipped bare-root and without their original nursery pot.  This is done both to protect the plant and to reduce shipping expenses. We pack our products by hand and take great care to ensure they arrive at their final destination safely. Upon receiving your plants, make sure to remove them from their packaging immediately, repot them using dry soil, and provide ample sunlight.  Water as needed, making sure to water again only when the soil is completely dry. Succulents are very hardy and will rebound easily with proper care.
