The Crassula arborescens, commonly called the Silver Jade Plant, is a succulent shrub with thick, rounded, silvery-blue leaves that grow in a dense, branching form, giving it a sculptural, evergreen appeal. It can reach up to 6 feet tall and 6 feet wide, making it a striking specimen for patios, xeriscapes, or container plantings. This low-maintenance succulent thrives in full sun to partial shade and requires well-draining soil with minimal water, making it highly drought-tolerant once established. In late winter to early spring, it produces clusters of small, star-shaped, pale pink to white flowers, attracting pollinators while adding seasonal interest. The Crassula arborescens is hardy, resilient, and ideal for desert gardens, succulent arrangements, or as a standalone accent plant, providing year-round texture and color. Its slow growth and striking foliage make it a unique and long-lasting addition to any landscape. USDA Hardiness Zones 9–11.
