Cleistocactus colademononis | Monkey Tail Cactus 6in

The Cleistocactus colademononis, commonly known as the Monkey Tail Cactus, is a unique, trailing cactus with long, fuzzy stems covered in golden spines, giving it a soft, rope-like appearance. Each stem can grow to 3–6 feet long while maintaining a slender diameter of about 2 inches, making it ideal for hanging baskets or cascading over walls and containers. This striking cactus thrives in full sun to partial shade and requires minimal water, making it perfect for low-maintenance indoor or outdoor growing. It blooms in summer, producing vivid red, tubular flowers that emerge along the length of the stems, attracting hummingbirds and pollinators. The Monkey Tail Cactus is highly drought-tolerant and heat-loving, preferring well-draining soil and protection from frost. Its trailing habit and unusual texture make it a conversation-starting plant and a rare collector’s favorite. USDA Hardiness Zones 9–11.

Smaller items may or may not be shipped within their nursery pots. We pack our products by hand and take great care to ensure they arrive at their final destination safely. Upon receiving your plants, make sure to remove them from their packaging immediately, repot them using dry soil, and provide ample sunlight.  Water as needed, making sure to water again only when the soil is completely dry. Succulents are very hardy and will rebound easily with proper care.
