The Chamaerops humilis 'Cerifera', commonly known as the Blue Mediterranean Fan Palm, is a slow-growing, multi-stemmed palm with striking blue-gray fan-shaped leaves that provide a unique and tropical appearance. It typically reaches 6–10 feet in height and 6–8 feet in width, forming a dense clump of attractive foliage perfect for accenting gardens or patios. This hardy palm thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers well-draining soil, tolerating drought once established. While it is primarily grown for its ornamental foliage, it may produce small, yellow-green flowers in spring followed by round, brown fruits. Its low-maintenance nature and adaptability make it ideal for desert landscapes, Mediterranean-style gardens, or container planting. The 'Cerifera' variety is resilient to wind, heat, and cold, providing year-round structure and color to your outdoor space. USDA Hardiness Zones 8–11.
