Baja Fairy Duster | Calliandra californica 3g

The Calliandra californica, commonly known as the Baja Fairy Duster, is a compact, shrub-like plant with delicate, fern-like green foliage and striking bright red, powderpuff-style flowers that create a vivid display. It typically grows to 3–6 feet tall and 3–6 feet wide, making it an excellent choice for borders, containers, or accent plantings. This drought-tolerant shrub thrives in full sun and prefers well-draining soil, needing minimal water once established. Blooming primarily in late spring through summer, it produces clusters of vibrant red flowers that attract hummingbirds and pollinators, adding life and movement to your garden. Its low-maintenance nature and ability to withstand heat make it perfect for xeriscaping or desert gardens, while its compact size fits well in urban landscapes. All of our plants are shipped bare-root and without their original nursery pot. This is done both to protect the plant and to reduce shipping expenses. We pack our products by hand and take great care to ensure they arrive at their final destination safely. Upon receiving your plants, make sure to remove them from their packaging immediately, repot them using dry soil, and provide ample sunlight. Water as needed, making sure to water again only when the soil is completely dry.
