The Butia Jubaea hybrid, or Pindo Wine Palm is a striking hybrid palm that features arching feathered fronds in a soft blue-green hue and a stout, textured trunk that adds architectural interest to any landscape. It can grow to an impressive 20–40 feet tall with a canopy spread of 15–25 feet, creating a dramatic focal point in gardens or yards. This palm thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers well-draining soil, showing excellent drought tolerance once established. In the warmer months, it may produce small, fragrant yellow-orange flowers, which are followed by edible orange fruits that attract birds and wildlife. Its slow growth and hybrid vigor make it a rare and highly desirable palm for collectors and enthusiasts. This palm is resilient to wind and coastal conditions, making it suitable for xeriscaping or tropical-themed landscapes. USDA Hardiness Zones 9–11.
