Austrocylindropuntia subulata f. cristata, commonly known as Crested Eve's Needle Cactus, is a captivating succulent native to the high elevations of Ecuador and Peru. This unique cactus features fan-like, wavy ridges formed by its crested growth pattern, adorned with emerald green, awl-shaped leaves and occasional white spines . In cultivation, it typically reaches 1 to 3 feet in both height and width, making it an excellent choice for containers or small garden spaces . Thriving in full sun to partial shade, it prefers well-draining soil and requires minimal watering, making it ideal for xeriscaping and drought-tolerant gardens . All of our plants are shipped bare-root and without their original nursery pot. This is done both to protect the plant and to reduce shipping expenses. Upon receiving your plants, make sure to remove them from their packaging immediately, repot them using dry soil, and provide ample sunlight. Water as needed, making sure to water again only when the soil is completely dry. Succulents are very hardy and will rebound easily with proper care.
