The Aloe vaombe, also known as the Malagasy Tree Aloe, is a striking aloe species with broad, upright green leaves edged with small teeth that often take on a deep reddish hue in full sun. This impressive aloe can grow into a tree-like form reaching up to 12 feet tall and 8 feet wide, making it a bold focal point in any landscape or large container. It thrives in full sun, requires very little water once established, and is exceptionally drought-tolerant. During late winter into spring, it produces tall flower spikes adorned with dense clusters of bright red, tubular blooms that attract hummingbirds and other pollinators. With its architectural form and vibrant flowers, Aloe vaombe is an ideal choice for xeriscaping or adding dramatic height to a succulent garden. Best suited for USDA Hardiness Zones 9–11.

All of our plants are shipped bare-root and without their original nursery pot. This is done both to protect the plant and to reduce shipping expenses. We pack our products by hand and take great care to ensure they arrive at their final destination safely. Upon receiving your plants, make sure to remove them from their packaging immediately, repot them using dry soil, and provide ample sunlight. Water as needed, making sure to water again only when the soil is completely dry.
