The Aloe pictifolia, also known as the Lace Aloe, is a striking succulent featuring thick, gray-green leaves adorned with white, raised spots and reddish teeth along the edges, forming a rosette pattern. Mature plants can reach 12–18 inches tall and 18–24 inches wide, making them a perfect choice for container gardening or rock gardens. This aloe thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers well-draining soil with minimal water, tolerating drought conditions once established. In late winter to early spring, it produces tall, slender flower stalks with vibrant red-orange tubular blooms that attract hummingbirds and pollinators. Its compact, low-maintenance growth habit and unique spotted foliage make it an eye-catching addition to succulent collections or xeriscapes. The Aloe pictifolia is hardy, resilient, and adds visual interest year-round. USDA Hardiness Zones 9–11.
