From the hills and mountains of the Northern Cape Province of South Africa, Aloe glauca ssp. spinosior forms small clumps of multi-stemmed shrubs or trees. The leaves are blue-green with scattered tubercles, typically on the undersides. The flowers are variable but usually are in red-orange racemes. Very drought tolerant, plant in full sun to light shade in warmer climates. Does well in rock, succulent and cactus gardens. Silvery-blue foliage provides a lovely contrast to darker-colored leaves. This plant's flowers are attractive to bees, butterflies, and birds. A. glauca grows well in containers. But it requires good drainage wherever it is planted.

You will receive the exact plant pictured, it is a fully rooted plant. Shipping will be via USPS Priority Mail within the United States and its outlying territories ONLY.  We do not ship internationally.

All of our plants are shipped bare-root and without their original nursery pot.  This is done both to protect the plant and to reduce shipping expenses. We pack our products by hand and take great care to ensure they arrive at their final destination safely. Upon receiving your plants, make sure to remove them from their packaging immediately, repot them using dry soil, and provide ample sunlight.  Water as needed, making sure to water again only when the soil is completely dry. Succulents are very hardy and will rebound easily with proper care.
