Aloe ‘Chico Banana’ is a distinctive hybrid aloe, resulting from a cross between Aloe harlana and Aloe peckii, known for its compact rosette of fleshy, green leaves adorned with white spots and serrated edges. This charming succulent typically grows up to 12 inches tall and 18 inches wide, making it an excellent choice for container gardening or small garden spaces. Thriving in full sun to partial shade, Aloe ‘Chico Banana’ prefers well-draining soil and requires minimal watering, showcasing excellent drought tolerance once established. During late winter to early spring, it produces vibrant orange-red tubular flowers on slender stalks, attracting hummingbirds and adding a splash of color to the landscape. This resilient plant is well-suited for USDA Hardiness Zones 9 through 11, tolerating temperatures down to 20-25°F.
