Agave gypsophila ‘Ivory Curls’ is a striking, slow-growing succulent known for its soft, gracefully curling blue-gray leaves that form a dense, symmetrical rosette. The foliage has a finely textured, almost frilly appearance compared to most agaves, giving it a unique ornamental appeal in landscape and container plantings. This agave typically reaches about 2 to 3 feet tall and 3 to 4 feet wide at maturity, making it a compact yet bold focal point. It thrives in full sun and requires well-draining soil, with very low water needs once established, making it highly drought tolerant and ideal for xeriscaping. When mature, it may produce a tall flower spike rising up to 8 to 10 feet, bearing pale yellow-green blooms that attract pollinators before the plant gradually completes its life cycle. Best grown in warm, dry climates, it prefers minimal irrigation and protection from prolonged freezing temperatures. USDA Hardiness Zones 9-11.
