The Acacia vestita, commonly known as the Weeping Boree or Hairy Wattle, is a charming evergreen shrub admired for its soft, finely-textured gray-green foliage that drapes gracefully, giving it a delicate, weeping appearance. This versatile plant can grow up to 10–15 feet tall and about 10 feet wide, making it an excellent choice for use as a feature plant, hedge, or screening shrub. It thrives in full sun, adapts well to a variety of soils, and requires low water once established, making it highly suited for drought-tolerant and low-maintenance gardens. From late winter into spring, Acacia vestita bursts into bloom with clusters of bright golden-yellow, ball-shaped flowers that add vibrant color and attract pollinators. Hardy, ornamental, and easy to care for, this wattle is perfect for creating year-round interest with seasonal bursts of sunshine-like flowers. Best grown in USDA Hardiness Zones 9–11.
