Parney's Red Clusterberry (Cotoneaster parneyi) is a graceful evergreen shrub known for its arching branches adorned with dark green leaves that reveal silvery undersides. In spring, it produces clusters of small white flowers that attract pollinators, followed by vibrant red berries in fall and winter, providing year-round visual interest. This fast-growing shrub typically reaches 8 to 10 feet in height and spreads up to 10 feet wide, making it ideal for informal hedges, erosion control on slopes, or as a striking specimen plant. Thriving in full sun and well-drained soil, it is drought-tolerant once established and requires low to moderate watering. Hardy in USDA zones 6 through 10, Parney's Red Clusterberry is also deer-resistant and can tolerate a variety of soil types, making it a versatile choice for diverse landscapes.
