4-inch Stenocactus multicostatus

The Stenocactus multicostatus, also known as the Brain Cactus or Wave Cactus, is a striking small cactus prized for its uniquely ribbed, wavy-textured surface that gives it a sculptural, brain-like appearance. Typically globe-shaped and compact, this cactus can grow up to 4 inches tall and 4 inches wide, making it perfect for small pots, windowsills, or minimalist desert-themed arrangements. It thrives in full sun to partial shade, needs very little water, and is highly drought-tolerant once established. In the spring, it produces delicate, pale pink to light purple flowers with darker striping that add a subtle yet beautiful contrast to its ridged green body. Ideal for indoor or outdoor dry environments, this cactus prefers well-draining soil and benefits from infrequent watering during the growing season. Avoid overwatering, especially during its winter dormancy. Best suited for USDA Hardiness Zones 9–11

You will receive a plant similar to the one pictured, it is a fully rooted plant. Shipping will be via USPS Priority Mail within the United States and its outlying territories ONLY.  We do not ship internationally.

4-inch items may or may not be shipped within their nursery pots. We pack our products by hand and take great care to ensure they arrive at their final destination safely. Upon receiving your plants, make sure to remove them from their packaging immediately, repot them using dry soil, and provide ample sunlight.  Water as needed, making sure to water again only when the soil is completely dry. Succulents are very hardy and will rebound easily with proper care.
