4-inch Mammillaria schiedeana 'Bridal Veil Cactus'

Mammillaria schiedeana, commonly known as the 'Bridal Veil Cactus,' is a charming, globular cactus native to Mexico. This small species typically reaches up to 4 inches (10 cm) in height and 2.5 inches (6 cm) in diameter, making it ideal for compact spaces. Its dark green stems are covered with numerous fine, white to golden spines that create a soft, feathery appearance. In late winter to early spring, it produces small, white to pale yellow flowers that encircle the top of the plant, adding to its ornamental appeal. This cactus thrives in bright, indirect sunlight and prefers well-draining soil with a high mineral content. It is drought-tolerant and requires minimal watering; allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings to prevent root rot. While it can withstand brief periods of light frost if kept dry, it is best to protect it from freezing temperatures.
