4-inch Mammillaria camptotricha | Bird’s Nest Cactus A1

Mammillaria camptotricha, commonly known as the Bird’s Nest Cactus, is a charming succulent native to central Mexico. This species features small, globose stems with soft, cylindrical tubercles adorned with white to brown spines up to 1 inch (2.5 cm) long. Typically, each stem remains under 4 inches (10 cm) in height and clusters prolifically, forming dense mats over time. It produces delicate, white, slightly fragrant flowers that enhance its appeal. Mammillaria camptotricha thrives in medium to light shade, making it more adaptable to lower light conditions than many cacti. It requires a well-draining soil mix and benefits from infrequent watering, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings. This species is suitable for USDA Hardiness Zones 10 to 11.

Upon receiving your plants, make sure to remove them from their packaging immediately, repot them using dry soil, and provide ample sunlight.  Water as needed, making sure to water again only when the soil is completely dry. Succulents are very hardy and will rebound easily with proper care.
