Gymnocalycium griseo-pallidum, native to Bolivia, is a small, globular cactus characterized by its dark green stem adorned with numerous tubercles and ribs. From woolly white-yellowish areoles emerge central and radial thorns: the radials are yellow or white, long and with the growing of the plant they become greyish; the central ones are more robust and darker, black or brown. In high light conditions, the plant exhibits a pinkish-purple hue. Typically, it grows up to 6 inches (15 cm) in height and 4 inches (10 cm) in diameter. This cactus thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers sandy, well-draining soil. It is extremely drought-tolerant and requires minimal watering; allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings to prevent root and stem rot. While it can tolerate brief periods of light frost, it is best to protect it from freezing temperatures.

You will receive the exact plant pictured, it is a fully rooted plant. Shipping will be via USPS Priority Mail within the United States and its outlying territories ONLY.  We do not ship internationally.

4-inch items may or may not be shipped within their nursery pots. We pack our products by hand and take great care to ensure they arrive at their final destination safely. Upon receiving your plants, make sure to remove them from their packaging immediately, repot them using dry soil, and provide ample sunlight.  Water as needed, making sure to water again only when the soil is completely dry.
