Gymnocalycium chacoense is a captivating, globular cactus native to Bolivia, renowned for its bright green, slightly flattened stems that reach diameters of 5.5 to 8 centimeters (approximately 2.2 to 3.1 inches). As it matures, this species tends to form clusters of up to 25 individual heads, each adorned with well-defined ribs bearing small white areoles. From these areoles, long, rigid spines emerge, initially light yellow with darker tips, transitioning to gray as the plant ages. During its blooming period, Gymnocalycium chacoense produces slender, funnel-shaped flowers ranging from white to light pink, measuring 3.5 to 4.5 centimeters (approximately 1.4 to 1.8 inches) in length. This cactus thrives in full sun and well-draining soil, requiring minimal watering once established, making it ideal for xeriscaping and low-maintenance gardens. Our Gymnocalycium chacoense is available in a 4-inch pot, ready to enhance your indoor or outdoor plant collection with its unique form and delicate blossoms.
