Cyphostemma cirrhosum is a captivating caudiciform plant featuring a prominent, swollen base with peeling bark and thick green leaves that grow on semi-rambling vines. In cultivation, it typically reaches up to 16 inches in height. This succulent thrives in full to partial sun and requires well-draining, sandy soil. During the active growing season in spring and summer, it appreciates regular watering every 3-4 days, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings; however, it is extremely drought-tolerant and should be kept dry during its winter dormancy. Cyphostemma cirrhosum is frost-tolerant but should be protected from sustained cold and wet soil. It is suitable for USDA Hardiness Zones 10 through 12.
