1gal Scarlet Firethorn | Pyracantha coccinea

Pyracantha coccinea, or Scarlet Firethorn, is a dense, semi-evergreen shrub with glossy dark green leaves and sharp thorns. It typically grows 6 to 12 feet tall and wide, forming a bushy, upright habit. In late spring to early summer, it produces clusters of small white flowers, followed by vibrant orange-red berries that persist into winter, attracting birds. This hardy shrub thrives in full sun to partial shade and adapts to various soil types, including clay, provided they are well-drained. Once established, it exhibits good drought tolerance and is suitable for hedges, screens, or espalier training. Hardy in USDA Zones 6 to 9.

You will receive a plant similar to the one pictured, it is a fully rooted plant. Shipping will be via USPS Priority Mail within the United States and its outlying territories ONLY.  We do not ship internationally.

All of our plants are shipped bare-root and without their original nursery pot.  This is done both to protect the plant and to reduce shipping expenses. We pack our products by hand and take great care to ensure they arrive at their final destination safely. Upon receiving your plants, make sure to remove them from their packaging immediately, repot them using dry soil, and provide ample sunlight.  Water as needed, making sure to water again only when the soil is completely dry.
