California Buckwheat (Eriogonum fasciculatum) is a hardy, evergreen shrub native to the southwestern United States, known for its fine-textured, needle-like green leaves and arching growth habit. It typically grows 3 to 5 feet tall and spreads 6 to 8 feet wide, forming a broad, mounding shape. Thriving in full sun and well-drained soils, it requires little to no supplemental water once established, making it ideal for drought-tolerant landscapes. From late spring through fall, it produces profuse clusters of tiny white to pinkish flowers that age to a rich rust color, attracting bees, butterflies, and birds. This low-maintenance plant is excellent for erosion control on slopes and adds year-round interest to native and water-wise gardens. Suitable for USDA Hardiness Zones 7–10.

You will receive the exact plant pictured, it is a fully rooted plant. Shipping will be via USPS Priority Mail within the United States and its outlying territories ONLY.  We do not ship internationally.

All of our plants are shipped bare-root and without their original nursery pot.  This is done both to protect the plant and to reduce shipping expenses. We pack our products by hand and take great care to ensure they arrive at their final destination safely. Upon receiving your plants, make sure to remove them from their packaging immediately, repot them using dry soil, and provide ample sunlight.  Water as needed, making sure to water again only when the soil is completely dry.
