California Brittlebush (Encelia californica), also known as Bush Sunflower, is a fast-growing, drought-tolerant shrub featuring brittle, branching stems and bright green, diamond-shaped leaves. It typically reaches 2 to 5 feet tall and 3 to 7 feet wide, forming a rounded, bushy shape. Thriving in full sun and well-drained soil, it requires minimal water once established. From late winter through early summer, it produces daisy-like yellow flowers with dark centers that attract bees, butterflies, and birds. This low-maintenance plant is ideal for erosion control, wildlife gardens, and as a colorful groundcover. Hardy in USDA Zones 9–10. 

You will receive a plant similar to the one pictured, it is a fully rooted plant. Shipping will be via USPS Priority Mail within the United States and its outlying territories ONLY.  We do not ship internationally.

All of our plants are shipped bare-root and without their original nursery pot.  This is done both to protect the plant and to reduce shipping expenses. We pack our products by hand and take great care to ensure they arrive at their final destination safely. Upon receiving your plants, make sure to remove them from their packaging immediately, repot them using dry soil, and provide ample sunlight.  Water as needed, making sure to water again only when the soil is completely dry. Succulents are very hardy and will rebound easily with proper care.
