The Bird of Paradise (Strelitzia reginae) is a striking tropical plant known for its large, banana-like green leaves and unique, bird-shaped flowers in vivid orange and blue hues. It typically grows 3 to 5 feet tall and wide, forming dense clumps that add a bold, architectural element to gardens or containers. This evergreen thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers well-drained soil. Blooming from late fall through early spring, it offers a long-lasting display of exotic flowers. Once established, it exhibits moderate drought tolerance and requires minimal maintenance. Hardy in USDA Zones 9 to 11.
You will receive a plant similar to the one pictured, it is a fully rooted plant. Shipping will be via USPS Priority Mail within the United States and its outlying territories ONLY. We do not ship internationally.
All of our plants are shipped bare-root and without their original nursery pot. This is done both to protect the plant and to reduce shipping expenses. We pack our products by hand and take great care to ensure they arrive at their final destination safely. Upon receiving your plants, make sure to remove them from their packaging immediately, repot them using dry soil, and provide ample sunlight. Water as needed, making sure to water again only when the soil is completely dry. Succulents are very hardy and will rebound easily with proper care.
