Lomandra longifolia, commonly known as spiny-head mat-rush or basket grass, is a hardy, grass-like perennial with long, arching green leaves that form dense, fountain-like clumps. It typically grows 2 to 3 feet tall and wide, making it ideal for borders, mass plantings, or erosion control. Thriving in full sun to partial shade, this low-maintenance plant is drought-tolerant and adaptable to various soil types, including sandy and clay soils, as long as they are well-drained. While primarily grown for its attractive foliage, it may produce small, fragrant, creamy-yellow flowers from autumn through spring. Lomandra longifolia is suitable for USDA Hardiness Zones 8 to 10.

You will receive a plant similar to the one pictured, it is a fully rooted plant. Shipping will be via USPS Priority Mail within the United States and its outlying territories ONLY.  We do not ship internationally.

All of our plants are shipped bare-root and without their original nursery pot.  This is done both to protect the plant and to reduce shipping expenses. We pack our products by hand and take great care to ensure they arrive at their final destination safely. Upon receiving your plants, make sure to remove them from their packaging immediately, repot them using dry soil, and provide ample sunlight.  Water as needed, making sure to water again only when the soil is completely dry. Succulents are very hardy and will rebound easily with proper care.
